Is drinking crystal light the same as drinking water? I drink water also, but sometimes I just get sick of it. Does Crystal light do the same thing?

Thanks,
Hoda

Hoda -

Crystal Lite contains aspartame, which is sort of a bad thing. Although it has only proven to be dangerous in huge dosages, it's still relatively new and, well, why chance it since there are many alternatives that have no negative effects under any circumstances.

How about iced tea or herbal iced tea?

I hate ice tea! Smile

Aside from the fact that aspartame is "bad for you", it doesn't counteract the effects that water does, right? Like diet soda does?

Thanks,
Hoda

Behold the ingredients from Crystal Light:

CITRIC ACID (PROVIDES TARTNESS), MALTODEXTRIN (FROM CORN), NATURAL FLAVOR, POTASSIUM CITRATE (CONTROLS ACIDITY), ASPARTAME* (SWEETENER), MAGNESIUM OXIDE (PREVENTS CAKING), ACESULFAME POTASSIUM (SWEETENER), ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, ARTIFICIAL COLOR, RED 40, RED 40 LAKE, BLUE 1. *PHENYLKETONURICS: CONTAINS PHENYLALANINE.

Kinda looks like a lot of chemicals to me. If you have it every once in a while, I'm sure you'll be okay, but I certainly wouldn't make it a constant replacement for water.

Results will vary. Weight loss may be temporary as exercise and proper diet are required to maintain long-term weight loss and muscle gain.
