I don't think I'm getting enough protein in my diet. What can I do and at what time of the day? Also I work out in the morning on an empty stomach. By the time I'm done with the workout I'm starving. Is it ok to eat right after the workout? Thanks for being so helpful. We all look forward to your words of advice. Thanks, Nika wink

I recommend that you read the the newsletter archives. You'll find a bunch of info pertinent to this.

Yes, eating within one hour of finishing your workout is perfect. Your body will absorb nutrients approx 4 times better during this window. This meal should be a 4:1 carb to protein ratio.

Protein is availible in meats, fish, dairy products and legumes. You want to get approx 30% of your daily calories from protein. If you don't get enough in your diet you can buy supplemental protein. Whey protein is best for muscle recovery and soy is best for endurance activity. These are probably the best supplemental proteins to go with.

Results will vary. Weight loss may be temporary as exercise and proper diet are required to maintain long-term weight loss and muscle gain.
