My 17 yr. old daughter asked me a question I didn't really have a good answer for so I said I would ask for her. I just started the mens' formula with creatine. She wants to know why there isn't a womens' formula with creatine also. Is creatine just something women aren't supposed to take? This was the first morning I have used creatine by the way and I took it according to directions with 16 oz. of grape juice. I had some cereal with skim milk and protein powder after that for breakfast. I did have some diarrhoea afterwards. Besides that I'm taking PF around 5 a.m. and working out at 5:45. I tried taking PF at night but lost sleep. Is it okay to have breakfast right after the creatine? I read the post in FAQ about creatine. Is it just a matter of my system getting used to it? Thanks, Joel.
Creatine works just the same with women. Most women are not looking for mass or strength gains, which is why we don't have it for women. Many do take it. I'd recommend you read the creatine posts in the FA FAQ section. You'll learn a ton about it and how it works.
Depending on your goals, I might change your protocol. But either way you should wait at least 20 minutes after the creatine for you breakfast. Post workout, that should be ample time for absorption.
Read that posts and if you need more info, let me know your goals and I'll advise.
Thanks for the info. After my post I went back & there was a lot of advice I hadn't noticed the first time. I've been using it ever since and have not had any similar problems at all. I do cut the juice a little with water and keep stiring the mix as I drink. I'm also making sure to drink plenty of water with PF first thing after getting up. All the extra fluid I'm getting in the morning is a big help. I never really took into account how dehydrated you are when you get up in the morning. Thanks again. I'll keep you posted. Joel
