What is the maximum amount of carbohydrates that can be eaten per day with the performance formula?

Carbohydrate intake per day and Performance Formula are unrelated. You should not take PF *with* carbs because they can affect absorption and their effect but it is fine to eat carbs throughout the day. Since you want to take PF about 30 minutes before you workout you will then not want to consume any carbs until your post-workout snack.

Another related question... not so much as to the total amount of carbs you can eat in a day, but in order for the Performance Formula to be effective, do you have to avoid carbs for a certain timeframe before taking this? Right now I'm on the schedule of finishing dinner 1 hr before PF, working out 30-45 minutes later (P90), and then using the creatine formula about 20 minutes after the workout. Is anything here going to not be optimally used?

That's not ideal. It would be best to have 2-3 hours between eating and taking the PF. The carbs inhibit absorption.

But we don't live in a perfect world, so if this is what you need to do, that'll work good enough.

Results will vary. Weight loss may be temporary as exercise and proper diet are required to maintain long-term weight loss and muscle gain.
