I finished up the Slim in 6 program mid June, continued to take the SF as I continued working out and even took the SF while doing P90 up until September. I wanted to know when do these supplements stop being effective? At what point does you body get used to them? Do I need to rotate with a different one? Or its OK to continue to use it. I am almost ready to purchase another bottle. Please advise.
PS, I do take a multivitamin, Emergen-C, MSM supplements and a combo of Alpha Lipoic Acid, DMAE, Ester C, etc. I am 37 years old, want to continue to lose more weight and I've restarted Slim in 6. Thank you. |

I always somewhat rotate my supps, mainly out of habit and intuition. However, there are no studies showing that pyruvate, or even green tea, is less effective over time. I would bet that it will continue to be effective.
I would suggest this protocol, in general. Schedule your traininng into blocks of increasing difficulty followed by rest/recovery. Meaning, do a series of 4/6 week programs with one recovery week in between. Take supps during on weeks and give em a break on your recovery weeks, though continue with a multi-vit. As far as vitamin C goes, I only ramp up my intake during times of stress. Other times I subsist on a base level of intake, less than 1,000mg per day, for sure. During stressful times I may increase this to 5,000mg per day. I think prolong high dosages do lessen the effect. One contradiction to this might be MSM, as studies seem to show that it works best with prolonged consistant intake. |
