I love the " Cappuccino Delight" Slim Fast. I have one for breakfast and lunch. Is this helping or hindering my progress? I am only at day three, so thought I'd better check before going on to far...Each shake is 10 g protein, 41 g carb, 1 g fat...

This is much better than many food choices that you can make. Also, it's a good choice for earlier in the day, like you are doing because it's essentially energy food in a 4 to 1 carb to protein ratio. The big downside of these drinks is the amount of sugar. Plus, it's granulated sugar and not even fructose. But this is less a factor when you're active.

At night, up the protein and fat and lower your percentage of carbs and keep them complex. If you eat an almost no-fat diet (as in these shakes) make sure that you get your omega 3's and 6's. You can buy these as supplements if necessary.

Results will vary. Weight loss may be temporary as exercise and proper diet are required to maintain long-term weight loss and muscle gain.
